Required Competition
EVENING WEAR (All contestants)
All contestants will compete in the evening wear competition in the gown of their choice. Each contestant will model before a panel of judges as they showcase their stage presence, personality, and confidence on stage. All contestants will use the walking pattern chosen by the State Director.
Ages 0-3: 100% of score
Ages 4-13: 80% of score
Ages 14+: 40% of score
INTERVIEW (Contestants Ages 4+)
Each contestant will sit down before a panel of judges for interview. Our interview questions are age-appropriate. The interview will last 3 minutes.
*Ages 14+ will be required to submit a resume with the paperwork application.
Ages 4-13: 20% of score
Ages 14+: 30% of score
YOUR CHOICE (Contestants Ages 14+)
Each contestant will choose which category to add for their additional requirement.

- Talent: Show the judges your skills in a 3 minute (or less) talent presentation. Judges will be looking for stage presence, entertainment value, and confidence under pressure.
- Actress: Promote a product of your choice, perform a short one-person skit, or perform a monologue. Judges will be looking for stage presence, entertainment value, and confidence under pressure.
- Model: Choose an outfit to model freestyle. Our judges will be looking for confidence, personality, and stage presence.
- Speech: Show the judges your public speaking skills and support an issue close to your heart with a 100 word speech. Judges will be looking for professionalism, content, and confidence.
Eligibility
Contestants will represent their county (or city) at State. Qualify for State by attending a Preliminary or applying for a local title. States that do not currently hold Preliminaries will allow you to simply represent your county at the State Pageant.

Entry fees are all-inclusive.

State Ambassador Program
To help with State fees, we have a sponsorship program in place- the State Ambassador Program. Contestants are able to earn their way to State, and even win extra awards!
Contestants may ask family, friends, or businesses to purchase a page in our State Program Magazine. These can be business ads or good luck wishes. Magazine will be in full color, and standard magazine size, 8.5x11.
Prices are as follows:
½ Page: $50
Full Page: $100

- Sell $100 more than the amount of pages equal to your entry fee, attend State for FREE, and receive an official State Ambassador’s Crown!
- Sell $200 more than the amount of pages equal to your entry fee, win all the above, and receive an official State Ambassador’s Embroidered Sash!
- Sell $300 more than the amount of pages equal to your entry fee, win all the above, and win gifts from our sponsors!
- Sell $400 more than the amount of pages equal to your entry fee, win all the above, and earn the State Ambassador Supreme Title, receive an official State Ambassador’s robe, receive a huge State Ambassador’s trophy, and instantly qualify for Nationals!
Scholarships
The Miss US Pageantry State Pageants has a growing list of sponsors. We are excited to announce that we will be awarding scholarships at the State level with 40+ contestants!
With 40+ contestants, there will be a guaranteed $1,000 scholarship to the contestant (age 14 or older) with the highest score. This amount may increase or decrease with the amount of contestants competing.
With 40+ contestants, there will be a guaranteed $250 scholarship to the contestants (age 4-13 and one 14 or older) with the best interview.
With 40+ contestants, there will be scholarships for community involvement.
More scholarships may apply to your State Pageant. Scholarships are based on sponsorship funding, amount of contestants, and the award decisions made by your State Director.

Once your first payment is submitted ($100 minimum deposit), your county, city, or region sash and crown will be sent to your address so you may begin representing your title.
